Grilled pointed cabbage

Pointed cabbage is used more in our kitchen in a stew and / or with milk / cheese sauce. However, few people know that you can grill pointed cabbage perfectly. By treating the cabbage like a piece of meat you get the delicious grill flavor in your cabbage and it is also nice and soft!

- 1 pointed cabbage
- Olive oil
- A saltier BBQ rub

Preparation method

1. Prepare a BBQ for indirect grilling at about 180°C. I used a kogel BBQ where you can do this by putting the coals on one side and leaving the other side empty.

2. Meanwhile cut the pointed cabbage in half and brush the cut side with some olive oil.
Season generously with the BBQ rub

3. When the BBQ is at the right temperature place both halves of the pointed cabbage directly above the coals (on the direct zone). When the pointed cabbage has nice grill lines, place it on the indirect zone.

4. Let the pointed cabbage cook for another 20 minutes on the indirect side. The pointed cabbage is ready when it is soft but still has a bite.
